Confidence

Confidence is essentially an attitude which allows you to have a positive and realistic perception of yourself and your abilities. It is characterized by personal attributes such as assertiveness, optimism, enthusiasm, affection, pride, independence, trust, the ability to handle criticism and emotional maturity. When you display this trust towards yourself, this confidence becomes self-confidence. When you have self-confidence, you trust yourself. You know that you can do it. You know that you can count on yourself. You know that your own opinion is as good as anyone else’s opinion. You don’t feel inferior to others. You know your own worth and you don’t need to prove it to anyone. You make mistakes, but you don’t hate yourself for making them. Being self-confident also means that other people can disagree with you or disapprove of you without you feeling that you’re not a worth-while person. It is something that everyone is worthy of possessing.

Here at Creative Talent, confidence building is our core. With the struggles and challenges that our youth face daily, they need to know how to be confident in their decision making. They need the proper guidance to handle peer pressures in the appropriate manner. Understanding and learning confidence building techniques will give your child the ability to make proper choices and feel great about making them.
